Bethany Mission Trips
The people of Bethany Lutheran Church act on Jesus Christ’s call to “Go forth and make disciples of all nations.” This mission is carried out in Christian love by our commitment to give resources, time, and work to benefit the needs of others, all while explicitly communicating that we do this in the name of God who loved us first. Our call to mission extends to Bethel Park, the Pittsburgh area, and well beyond into national and international needs.
BLC has sponsored four mission trips, three domestic and one international including work at:
- Oaks, OK at the Oaks Indian Mission: rebuilt and remodeled community buildings
- Brooklyn, NY: refurbished a Lutheran church in a Jamaican community
- Rural Upstate NY: refurbished two church buildings
- La Croix, Haiti: medical care, eye glass distribution, building construction & teaching
